The CLI Sustainability Group will work to empower people to live more sustainable lives by promoting re-usability at the city's National Night Event at Hemisphere Park. Our group will have a space where attendees will be able to make different items (purses, dresses, etc) using reused items. Additionally, the Sustainability Group will release a Public Service Announcement (to be premiered at the CLI graduation) to encourage people to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. This PSA will allow our group to reach people in a more creative way.

Hello fellow Alumni and CLI Supporters,
We are happy to report CLI is currently accepting applications for the 2011 Leadership Institute! We look forward to receiving your recommendations of committed grassroots leaders ready to undertake a challenging journey in leadership. We are so proud of your continued work and efforts in our community. San Antonio is able to be on the forefront of so many important issues because of the spirited way you continue to serve. CLI understands your commitment and would like you to remember we are here to be a resource for you.
As you know, CLI has undergone a transition in leadership. Founding member and former Executive Director Carol Rodriguez is now lending her expertise to another organization. Maria Alejandro, our new Executive Director, has taken charge to boldly move us into the future to sustain our current mission, which includes the very institute you graduated from within the past 10 years.
In celebration of our 10 year anniversary we are asking our enriched alumni to donate $10 or more to help CLI build towards sustainability. As alumni, you are most familiar with what it takes to run the institute, from speaker honoraria to materials and supplies to community project seed money. Your donation will directly impact the success of this year's institute!
Lastly, we would like to thank you in advance for your contribution, no matter the amount. We invite each alumnus to give as much as you are able and consider making this a bi-annual commitment. Your contribution is key to continuing to provide essential leadership development training often not afforded to community leaders such as yourself. Your contribution makes it possible for grassroots community leaders to unleash their potential, expand their resource network and give back through the group community project. If each of you contributes $10, we can raise an alumni-donation base of at least $2,000. Join us in helping to sustain CLI for the next 10 years!
You can make a donation below via PayPal or by mail, please call us with any questions you may have!
We look forward to your support.
Thank you,
April Johnson-Walker, CLI 2008
Mari Hernandez, CLI 2010
